Mattress Warranties 
ALL of our mattresses include a manufacturer warranty with purchase! Length of warranty and type of coverage depends on the policies set by the mattress manufacturer, but in general, a mattress warranty will cover faulty defects or workmanship as a result of manufacturing process. 
Physical flaws or defects that are typically covered by mattress warranties include: 
&bull; Broken seams, coils, or other structural damage or broken components 
&bull; Abnormalities or internal inconsistencies in materials 
&bull; Excessive sagging that is not due to normal wear and tear; generally this is at least 2&rdquo; in depth when measured according to manufacturer&rsquo;s specifications (e.g. without applying any pressure, not in a tuft, and as compared to the rest of the sleeping surface).

 Anything not considered a physical flaw or defect is most likely not covered under warranty, such as (but not limited to): 
&bull; Damage as a result of improper use (accidents such as burns, mold, mildew, cuts, spills, and stains)
&bull; Comfort preference (We do offer a Comfort Guarantee Policy on select mattresses! For more information, please click here!) 
&bull; Products that are sold &ldquo;as-is&rdquo;, or any other similar wording that would indicate that the product is no longer in new, warranted condition 
&bull; Odors (products that have a &ldquo;new product smell;&rdquo; note that this should dissipate after a few days of aeration) 
&bull; Normal indentations or sagging, generally less than 2&rdquo;, or indentation or sagging due to misuse 
&bull; Damage as a result of the improper or incorrect use of bed frame, foundation, or adjustable base 

Please also keep in mind that any mattress that is placed in the residence or vicinity of a smoker is void of any warranty, along with any mattress that has a stain or soiling.

How can I protect my mattress? 
We understand that accidents happen. Mattress warranties do not cover normal wear and tear or spills, stains, and soiling. We highly encourage you to purchase a mattress protector to help safeguard against spills, sweat, and stains to keep your mattress safe and fresh. 
Tips to help your mattress last longer: 
&bull; Make sure your bed is properly supported with a stable bed frame that has support legs in the center of the foundation (not just at the sides/edges) and a foundation or adjustable base that is sturdy and designed for your mattress. Our experts can give you the right recommendations for this. 
&bull; If you have an innerspring mattress, remember to rotate it from head to foot every 3-6 months. 
&bull; Remember to wash your bedsheets at least every 2 weeks to help prevent bacteria, dust, oils, sweat, mites, hair and skin cells from building up and seeping into your mattress. 
&bull; Clean your mattress by following the included instructions set by the manufacturer.
&bull; Protect your mattress with a mattress protector!

Since most all our customers want this same treatment, there is really no value available to be given back to a customer who wants to return an out-of-original-packaging mattress because that mattress can no longer be sold as new. What Happens If I Don't Like My New Mattress?

&ldquo;Good things come to those who wait.&rdquo; 
A quality mattress, featuring lumbar support for your spine and components that are fresh from the factory, will take some time to get used to, most commonly between 30-90 days (if not sooner), so don&rsquo;t be alarmed if the mattress that gets delivered to your home feels different compared to the one you tried in a showroom! 
Just like buying a new pair of shoes, when you purchase a new mattress, you&rsquo;ll need to go through the process of breaking it in. Consistently sleeping on your mattress every night will break in the materials and allow your body to adjust.

Sleep on your new mattress every night! 
Within the first few nights of sleeping on your new mattress, you may experience some soreness, but don&rsquo;t feel discouraged! You are most likely experiencing this because your body had become used to your old mattress and your new one is providing you with better actual support that you are not accustomed to yet. No matter how uncomfortable it may feel, please resist the urge to sleep somewhere else or go back to your old mattress for the first 30 to 90 days. 
While you sleep, your body weight will put pressure on the mattress, breaking it in, so please give it time. If you want to speed up the process, try rolling back and forth on your mattress or crawling on top of it for several minutes to help loosen up the materials faster. Memory foam mattresses are made from high-density materials so they tend to require a longer break-in period due to all the different layers of foam. Innerspring mattresses are typically broken in relatively quickly, especially compared to all-foam mattresses or hybrid mattresses containing &ldquo;specialty&rdquo; foams.

Hot or Cold? 
Sometimes we hear from new mattress owners that their mattress is firmer than what they remember the showroom sample to have been. While not being broken in yet (discussed above) is a common contributing factor, another important element is room temperature, especially for specialty foams like memory foam (A.K.A. visco) or all-foam mattresses. The foams in these mattresses are VERY sensitive to temperature. You might not think a couple degrees is a big deal, but small thermostat settings can have a big impact on the perceived firmness of certain foams. If you want your foams to feel softer, you may need to bump up your thermostat a bit. If you&rsquo;re used to keeping the thermostat down because you sleep hot and you are considering an all foam or specialty foam mattress, be sure to look for one that is breathable and facilitates air flow through the mattress. 
Another quick note on sleeping hot. It is a frequent&nbsp;occurrence that an owner of a new mattress may feel like they sleep hotter on the new mattress than they did the old, and in fact that may actually be the case! Did you know that increased circulation throughout your body may cause your extremeties to not have a decreased body temperature? When an old mattress starts to lack support, that will often cause blood to pool at low points where the body touches the sleeping surface (think hips, shoulders, and joints). The blood pooling at these &ldquo;pressure points&rdquo; is not making its way out to the hands, fingers, toes, and feet. Then, when a new mattress with proper support is introduced and the circulation system returns to working like it should without pressure point pooling, guess what? The extrememities may feel warmer than they have. But don&rsquo;t worry, this increased blood flow is healing and restorative, so it&rsquo;s a good thing! It will require some getting used to though, which is another reason we say to give your new mattress 30 to 90 days of consistent use to get your body accustomed to it. Will It Take Time To Get Used to My New Mattress?

There are several things that can make it time to consider a new mattress.&nbsp; While some are obvious like the condition of the mattress, others you may not have taken the time to think about recently.
If you like the details please read on for the nitty-gritty, but here&rsquo;s a quick summary of signs we&rsquo;ve found that it&rsquo;s time to replace your mattress:

<li>It&rsquo;s 8-10 years old or more.</li>
<li>You are waking up with aches or pains not caused by a known health condition.</li>
<li>Your mattress sags, slouches, or &ldquo;hammocks&rdquo; to the middle even though it has a good foundation/box spring and center frame support legs.</li>
<li>You toss and turn because you can&rsquo;t get comfortable.</li>
<li>You&rsquo;ve had a change in your life like a new sleep partner, new health condition, or gaining or losing weight.</li>
</ol>

We&rsquo;ve spoken with a lot of sleepers over the years and learned quite a bit about when it&rsquo;s time to change to a new mattress. Here are a few signals it is likely time:

If Your Mattress is Old&nbsp;
All good things must come to an end, and unfortunately mattresses wear out. If it&rsquo;s been a few years (a.k.a. you slept on it in college), your old mattress may have run its course, and it may be time to upgrade. Time, however, is not the only deciding factor as to when to buy a new mattress.&nbsp;
Most mattresses have an average lifespan of about 10 years. If yours is approaching a decade or more, then it&rsquo;s likely time to upgrade! Plus... just because a mattress should last around 10 years, that doesn&rsquo;t mean it will continue to fit your body for that entire time-frame. Finally, the advancements in sleep technology made in just the last handful of years have improved mattress performance dramatically!&nbsp;

Waking up with aches and pains?&nbsp;

The fault may be in your mattress. If you&rsquo;re sleeping on an old mattress, or the wrong type of mattress, you could be experiencing: (1) applied pressure in all the wrong places, or (2) not enough support in the places you need it most, like your spine, hips, and neck. Since everyone has a unique body type, these needs vary from person to person.&nbsp; If you don&rsquo;t have a known health issue causing your waking-up aches and pains, a good first bet is it&rsquo;s time for a new mattress.

<h3>Does Your Mattress Slouch?&nbsp;</h3>
If your mattress is excessively slouching or sagging, then it&rsquo;s not giving you the proper support you need for your body. This is a major sign that your mattress is giving out, or that it lacks the strength it needs to support you. Another sign is if you feel like you&rsquo;re going to roll off the side of your bed or feel it is &ldquo;hammocking&rdquo; into the middle. A good mattress should be able to support you so you sleep comfortably at the position you lay down on... and safe enough to not fear being kicked out of bed in the middle of the night!&nbsp; A quick note on &ldquo;hammocking&rdquo;: Be sure to first check and make sure your box spring / foundation is flat and strong.&nbsp; Also, if you have a queen or king size mattress, make sure that the frame under the box spring / foundation has support legs in the middle of the bed, not just at the outside edges.&nbsp; If those things are all intact and the mattress is still &ldquo;hammocking&rdquo; to the middle, it&rsquo;s likely the innersprings are failing.

<h3>Tossing and turning all night?&nbsp;</h3>

You&rsquo;re not comfortable if you&rsquo;re flopping around on your mattress.&nbsp; And if you&rsquo;re not comfortable, you&rsquo;re not sleeping. Common causes of restless tossing and turning are (1) If your mattress is not fitted for you, or (2) if the mattress is breaking down where the foams lose their conforming capabilities and therefore the innersprings can hit your pressure points. It&rsquo;s no wonder you can&rsquo;t get comfortable! Other factors that can cause you to not fall asleep or to wake up frequently include having an active or loud sleep partner if you&rsquo;re a light sleeper who is sensitive to motion or noise disturbance or if you&rsquo;re waking up feeling hot throughout the night.
